On Tuesday 26th April this year, a large group of repair shop representatives of the Canary Islands travelled to Balsareny (Barcelona) with the distributor Auteide, partner of AD Parts, to see the installations of Gates in Catalonia. In total, no less than 49 professionals visited this centre in which micro V and V belts are manufactured. During our visit, Gates experts showed us the many and rigorous quality controls that take place during the production process, both for first group components and the spare parts market. After the visit, there was a technical training session focussed on accessory drive systems. After this session, a practical test was carried out on a belt drive. At the end of the day, the mechanics attending the event gave positive feedback, regarding not only the facilities and machinery, but also the work of the engineers who showed them around and explained all the manufacturing stages and processes. Also, all of them approved of the training, considering it to be a great help for day-to-day work in the repair shop. In an increasingly growing automotive industry, it is important to be aware of all the new developments that may occur in the sector.
